We incorporate our extensive expertise and many years of experience into every single product. A look at our roof purlins is a good example of this. Purlin roofs are named after the purlins. They run parallel between the eaves - the lower boundary of the roof - and the ridge - the upper intersection of the two roof surfaces. When building purlin roofs, it is the planner's job to ensure that the structural conditions are met.

Purlin roofs as economical solutions
Our lightweight profiles impress with their simple installation options and low weight. Our roof purlins can be installed quickly and safely with different building physics requirements. Compared to hot-rolled profiles, building owners achieve significant savings with SCHRAG roof purlins because our purlins are optimised with the aim of achieving a high load-bearing capacity with a simple shape and low dead weight. The comparatively simple shape of the roof purlins also makes installation easier and at the same time offers a wealth of options for customisation.
This means that steel fabricators can also produce their own purlin shoes. Offsets are generally not required for this. As with all other components, we make no compromises when it comes to the material used in the production of purlins. As standard, we use the material grade S390GD+Z/ZM for the production of our profiles. Our purlins are protected with a metal coating for applications with requirement C1 or C4H with the corrosion protection system Z/ZM. During production, we use state-of-the-art coil and punching systems in conjunction with the latest bending techniques.
Attractive value-added services
Processes such as these enable us to realise production lengths of up to 16,000 mm. In terms of material thickness, we offer our customers purlins from 1.75-4.00 mm. Packaging suitable for assembly and the labelling (positioning) of the profiles make a significant contribution to increasing the speed of assembly on the construction site.
