Up to what length can edge profiles be produced?

We manufacture edge profiles up to a length of 16,000 mm.

In what material thickness can edge profiles be manufactured?

The maximum material thickness of the edge profiles is 4.00 mm. Usual material thicknesses are 0.75 mm, 1.00 mm, 1.50 mm, 2.00 mm, 2.50 mm, 3.00 mm, 3.50 mm and 4.00 mm. The material thicknesses depend on the respective product requirements.

What cutting widths are available?

Edge profiles are characterised by the high degree of flexibility in the design of the geometry. There is virtually no standard. The cutting widths are freely selectable, but can always be optimised to the available pre-material dimensions.

The maximum cutting width is 1,500 mm.

Are there any restrictions on the profile geometries?

Edging profiles are subject to very few restrictions in terms of feasibility. One of the advantages of edge technology is the ability to produce customised geometries.Our extensive range of tools and machinery and the expertise of our employees can fulfil almost all your wishes.

What materials are offered?

We stock all standard materials, grades, material thicknesses and designs in lightweight metal construction. We are happy to offer you customised special solutions.

What additional services does SCHRAG|Kantprofile offer?

SCHRAG offers a large selection of other edge profile processing options for fast and safe installation. Precise perforations for assembly, notches, bevelled cuts, corner formations, connections and much more ensure a smooth assembly process.

We also carry out qualified and certified welding work.

What do we need to prepare a quotation?

To enable us to process your enquiry as quickly as possible, we need your company address and an e-mail address or telephone number for any queries.

You are welcome to send us a text description of the required edge profiles; for detailed quotations we require sketches or production drawings. You can send us these in the usual file formats such as DWG, DXF and PDF.

What are the delivery times?

We recognise the importance of short delivery times. By stockpiling around 10,000 tonnes of primary material and networking the individual SCHRAG production sites, we can achieve the best possible delivery times for you. Our aim is to realise each of your delivery date requests.

What delivery times should I expect for square-edged profiles?

Square-edged profiles are always needed quickly. We are prepared for this and usually produce them for you within 1 to 3 working days.

Which material grades are processed?

SCHRAG|Kantprofile only processes high-quality materials. Grades S320GD and S390GD are used for load-bearing edge profiles. Please let us know the respective requirements for the specific application.

A high level of corrosion protection is required. Which material is suitable?

We process surface-finished materials with different properties. Our SCHRAG engineering office will be happy to advise you.

For example, sheet steel with a metallic coating of zinc-magnesium offers a very high level of corrosion protection. We use zinc-magnesium coated sheet steel of the Magnelis® ZM310 brand. If you have any questions, your contact person will be happy to advise you.

What do purlins and transoms cost?

At SCHRAG, purlins and transoms are considered from an overall economic perspective. Starting with the structural optimisation of the profile geometry and the use of the installation systems, we calculate the best price for the individual construction project. We look forward to receiving your enquiry.

Are there load tables for SCHRAG purlin and transom profiles?

No tables are available; the use of SCHRAG profiles is optimised for each construction project. The design is carried out using the FEM method.

What are the advantages of coupling beam purlins?

In buildings with many girder bays, large spans and high loads, the coupled girder system forms a continuous girder. This structural optimisation often reduces the statically required material thickness, which has a positive effect on costs.

How is the transport organised?

In addition to the option of collecting the goods yourself, we are also happy to offer you dispatching and transport as an additional service. To this end, we work together with our long-standing haulage partners and thus guarantee punctual and cost-effective deliveries.

What does shipping cost?

Thanks to our nationwide locations, you benefit from the shortest delivery distances. The shipping costs depend on the distance, weight and space requirements. Please specify the delivery location in your enquiry so that we can calculate the transport costs for you.

How is the packaging?

The packaging of the products is a very important quality feature for us, which we attach great importance to. Depending on the application, we protect the edge profiles by using transport protection angles or packaging on wooden pallets or wooden racks.

We also observe and fulfil your wishes regarding package contents, package dimensions and weight limits for individual packages.

Labelling the individual edge profiles and labelling the packages ensures that the individual items can be assigned quickly and reliably on the construction site.

Which certification is available?

All our factories are certified in accordance with EN 1090. This means that we fulfil the requirements of the European Construction Products Regulation.

We supply products with a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and CE labelling.
