Zinc blooms are crystal structures that form when the liquid zinc solidifies during the hot-dip galvanising of surface-finished steel sheets. A distinction is made between two surface finishes. N denotes a standard zinc bloom. M is a small zinc bloom caused by accelerated solidification.
