Purlin systems

Purlin systems - resilient substructure of the roof covering

Coupling purlins for buildings with many girder bays and large spans

In addition to moulded parts, purlins are essential components of many roof structures in modern lightweight metal construction. They serve as a substructure for the installation of the roof covering. The geometry of SCHRAG purlins makes installation comparatively simple - the purlin shoes can consist of angle profiles for bolting on, or the steel fabricator welds flat steel directly and vertically onto the substructure. The result is significant advantages over other beaded geometries. The purlins can be used as a single-span or coupled girder system. Our purlins and transoms are genuine quality products that are characterised by the following parameters:

  • High dimensional accuracy of the products
  • High flexibility, short delivery times
  • Packaging and labelling suitable for assembly
  • CE marking in accordance with EN 1090

Purlin systems - quick and clean assembly

In principle, the assembly systems are divided into single-span purlins and coupling purlins. Single-span purlins are an economical purlin system that is particularly suitable for roofs with few truss bays and/or low loads. Alternatively, coupled purlins are ideal for buildings with many girder bays, large spans and higher loads. SCHRAG-SMS - our innovative quick assembly system ensures shorter assembly times and thus reduces assembly costs.
