Our lightweight profiles have proven themselves in practice
Purlins and profiles made of thin-walled, cold-formed and galvanised sheet steel are load-bearing elements of lightweight metal construction. Substructures of roofs with their different requirements can be realised easily, safely and quickly with purlins from SCHRAG. SCHRAG purlins are precisely designed to achieve a high load-bearing capacity with a simple shape and low dead weight. We have succeeded in retaining the simple shape of the profiles - the web and chord are at an angle of 90 degrees to each other. This comparatively simple geometry enables easy installation and customisation options.
Profiles with high load-bearing capacity values
Purlin shoes - i.e. the fastening elements for the purlins - can also be manufactured by the steel fabricators themselves. Offsets are not necessary. Due to their simple geometry, purlin shoes can consist of conventional angle profiles for bolting on. Alternatively, steel fabricators can also weld flat steel vertically onto the substructure. This results in numerous advantages compared to other systems with additionally beaded geometries. The purlins can be used as single-span or coupled girder systems.
